About the San Diego Latino Film Festival

This year, the San Diego Latino Film Festival celebrates its 27th year from March 12-22 at a variety of venues throughout San Diego.

The festival is an 11-day celebration of Latino Cinema, arts, and culture. Among the offerings to enjoy? Over 160 films from Latin America, the U.S., and Spain; opening and closing night parties; Q&A sessions with filmmakers; free student screenings; the 5th Annual Sabor Latino – Food, Beer & Wine Festival  … And so much more!

The festival was established close to three decades ago as a student film festival with a focus on work by Latino filmmakers or work focusing on the Latino experience. Since its inception, the festival has evolved into one of the largest Latino film festivals in the world! Over 325,000 attendees have experienced the festival over the years, and close to 4,000 films have been screened.
