While Oxford is known for its outstanding entertainment roster, we’ve really outdone ourselves this Labor Day! Here, we’ll detail the incredible acts we have coming up for the long holiday weekend so that you can see for yourself why our Gaslamp Quarter nightclub should be your late summer headquarters!

THURSDAY, AUGUST 30TH: AYLA SIMONE
About Aya Simone: So-Cal based DJ Ayla Simone is an international sensation as a DJ. She started her career as a radio host and disc jockey, and was inspired by her many senior DJs, who acted as mentors and taught her the ropes. Her musical passion and energetic shows have helped her build a name in the business. She has enjoyed residencies at Omnia Nightclub, W Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, and the US Grant Hotel.
DJ Ayla Simone has been recognized by publications such as Billboard Magazine and Riviera Magazine, and serves as a reporter for Billboard, helping chart the national dance music listings.
While based in San Diego, you’ll see this talented DJ playing all across the nation and internationally; she’s been seen in Palm Springs, New York, LA, San Francisco, Switzerland, and Canada recently.
DJ Ayla Simone’s style features a mixture of many different genres combined in a single set. With a background as a singer, she has the ability to create truly melodic mixes, and has an ear for combining songs. Her ability to read the room and give the crowd what they need has set her apart as a singular DJ sensation.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 31ST: KEVIN GATES
About Kevin Gates: While he was born Kevin Jerome Gilyard, this American rapper, singer, and entrepreneur is better known as Kevin Gates. He got his start releasing mixtapes, including Stranger Than Fiction, By Any Means, and Luca Brasi 2, all of which made the top 40 in the Billboard 200. His debut album, Islah, was released in 2016, and quickly rose up the charts, peaking at #2.
Artistically, Kevin is known for what are called “confessional anthems”. One review of his first studio record noted that “autobiography and honesty have always been central to [Gates’] artistry.” His lyrics often deal with emotional themes like depression and poverty. Among his many influences? Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, and Tupac Shakur. He’s bound to put on a show unlike any other!

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST: SCHOENY
About Schoeny: If you’ve never experienced the stylings of Schoeny, you’re in for a treat. Long beloved in the San Diego area and beyond, Justin Michael Schoenenberger, AKA “Schoeny” is an American DJ, record producer, and songwriter. He’s based in So-Cal, but his DJ skills are known and sought out internationally.
This internationally recognized and award-winning artist is considered one of San Diego’s top DJs, and he frequently plays sets in his hometown. Considered one of the most driven and highly successful DJs on the scene today, he always puts on an energetic show.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND: SNOOP DOGG
About Snoop Dogg: Here’s a performer who needs absolutely no introduction: Snoop Dogg! Get very excited: this legendary West Coast rapper is coming to Oxford Social Club this Labor Day weekend!
